ENTERTAINMENT

Gary Corbett is our returning auctioneer for the live auction and Lannie Garrett brings her Patsy DeCline show to delight our attendees.   Along with a wonderful four-course dinner and silent auction, this all adds up to a great time for the benefit of the homeless pregnant teens living at Bridgeway!

Lannie Garrett as Patsy DeCline Lannie Garrett, "an explosion of comedy, charisma and impressive vocal ability," will delight the audience as the hilarious, washed up country star, Patsy DeCline.   Lannie has headlined at prestigious Boettcher Concert Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheater with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.   She's worked with a diverse group of national entertainers from Bill Cosby and B.B. King to Roseanne and Jay Leno.   Lannie and her swinging big band even earned a standing ovation opening a show for her idol, the legend, Mr. Ray Charles.   In addition to being a star performer in her home town in Colorado, she has been a popular, repeat performer on trendy-RSVP cruises, appeared in Monte Carlo at the Hotel de Paris as a fundraiser for the Jacques Cousteau Institute and headlined at the historic Summit of 8 gathering in 1997.   This promises to be an evening of high quality entertainment!

Gary Corbett, auctioneer, grew up in Kentucky where auctioneering is hardly considered a lost art form.   After receiving a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Kentucky, followed by a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Denver, and after several years working with troubled children and adults in the criminal justice system, Gary followed his childhood passion and learned the art of auctioneering at the Missouri Auction School in 1985.   For the past 19 years, Gary has helped hundreds of organizations raise thousands of dollars for a number of worthy causes.   In December of 2000 Gary was featured in the Spotlight section of the Rocky Mountain News as one of the premier auctioneers not only in Colorado, but across the country as well.   Bridgeway is pleased to have Gary back for a second Mardi Gras!

Murphy Huston and Jo Meyers, popular broadcasters with KOSI 101, are planning to emcee this year’s Mardi Gras event for Bridgeway.   We are hopeful that they will not have any schedule conflicts preventing them from being part of our evening of fun and celebration!
