The holidays are over, and as the song goes it is "the most wonderful time of the year." We at Bridgeway are so touched by your outpouring of love and generosity to our residents--past and current. Love is in the air all around us and it feels so awesome. I personally feel so blessed being at Bridgeway. I get to meet nice people all day long. There are so many special people that creatively do so much. Thanks from the bottom of all of our hearts.
I recently received a note from one of our donors and I want to share a part of this with you:
"I used to be a Peace Corps Volunteer in Africa. The Peace Corps' motto was ‘The toughest job you'll ever love.' But honestly I think that motto is even better suited to motherhood."
It continues to be a humbling experience to see our young moms, coming to us in a time of great challenge, take off and fly with the skills they have learned here. They feel the love!
The Mardi Gras is upon us. We are in a flurry of activity to prepare for this fundraiser. I hope to see so many of you there. We have great entertainment, and we are gathering many silent and live auction items. It will be really fun, so please call in soon with your RSVP.
We look towards the new year with hope and a determination to help our young moms be the best they can be. We look forward to new babies that have hope for a future and a home filled with love and a mom that strives to reach her full potential.
Thank you all for your continuing support. It makes such a difference to so many!
