Does February seem too far into the future to plan the event now? Experience tells us it’s "ONLY" seven months away, and fall brings federal campaigning, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas. Needless to say, planning ahead is necessary! You will be reading more about the Mardi Gras Gala later in the newsletter, and we are looking forward to sharing more information in our next newsletter. Because so much of an event like this requires advanced preparation, many of our readers may find they have some time to help before fall really cranks up to full speed for them. Non-profit work goes hand-in-hand with fundraising: in-kind donations, charitable giving campaigns, grant writing, special event planning, and plenty of needs not yet met.
On the other side of this non-profit coin there is the area that motivates donors to give, foundations to fund, volunteers to commit, and campaigns to pick up the cause. That motivation is usually measured by the non-profit’s success rate coupled with an on-going community need for the program to continue.
Each day, young pregnant women who desperately need housing, clothes, food, and a fresh start call Bridgeway.
Each day, the Bridgeway residence echoes the sounds of babies laughing, young mothers learning, and staff and volunteers providing support.
Fundraisers, like Bridgeway’s 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Gala, will bring in the dollars to help us help them.
