In our last newsletter we mentioned, in several of our articles, many of the wonderful volunteers who helped make the 2003 Spring Gala a successful event. However, there is an important volunteer whose name was left out. Howard Wolf was our web site committee, all by himself! He set up and designed the 2003 Spring Gala web page, kept it updated, added and removed items as needed and was just an over-all pleasant and enthusiastic volunteer to work with. Thank you so very much, Howard!
Thank you again to all who were a part of this fun event. Speaking of which, we are beginning to form committees for the 2004 Mardi Gras fundraiser and would love to have all of you help again, or if there are any of you who were not able to help in the past and are ready now, here is your chance! Later in this newsletter (see insert page) I will list the committee titles, chairpersons needed, and how many committee members are desired. We have had great fundraisers in the past and I am sure this next one will be even better! Please call me if you are able to help.
What an amazing spring and summer we have already had! In the last newsletter I asked for help repairing or replacing the shed which was damaged from the snow and almost immediately I received a call from a wonderful supporter, Dawn Rehbein, offering to take care of the whole job! Around that same time both of the lawn mowers we had from the previous year decided to quit working. Then along came the Foothills Golden K Kiwanis Club with not only one but two lawn mowers! Bridgeway’s volunteers and supporters are the best! Thank you to everyone who has been so very generous with your donations of time, energy, finances and resources. Bridgeway wouldn’t be what it is without all of you.
The next volunteer orientation will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 9 a.m.. I would love to meet more of you! Just call me at 303-969-0515 and let me know of your interest. I will send you an invitation and a volunteer packet.
