IT WAS AMAZING! The fundraiser was so much fun and very successful besides.
Our two awesome co-chairs, Debbie Dispense and Terry Hill, worked countless hours preparing for it. There were many dynamic duos including Jack and Judy Cozzens and their almost 50 volunteers that ran the silent auction. Sherry and Ed Zoltay are now experts at decorations. I am sure Ed's fellow firemen are glad to know he has an expertise in centerpieces! I also want to offer a very special thanks to the committee chairs of Corinne and Justin Magid, Annette and Micah Gautier, Dot and Tom Malone, and Tiffani Muniz.
In addition, I would like to offer a huge thanks to all of you that supported us with live and silent auction items, the table sponsors, and everyone who came that evening. You have enabled us to continue to help young moms and their babies have a better life.
Those of you who were there heard two of our former residents speak. Chelsea is now a lawyer. Annette is happily married, a wonderful mom, and facilitates a parent support group for our current residents. It is very gratifying to see these young women have their dreams come true. Just today another former resident came running into the office to show me she had graduated from cosmetology school--way to go, Christina!
So many girls come to Bridgeway thinking they are worthless. In the dictionary one of the definitions of "pregnant" is "full of potential." Helping these young women realize they are important and that they can be all they want to be is something we are very committed to. All of you are such a big part of our team, and we know that we could not do it without your help.
I am humbled by all of this help. Please know that it means everything to us!
