Hi! Well, here I go again with the adjectives! Terrific, stupendous, awesome, super, unbelievable, THE BEST! The Mardi Gras Fundraiser event in February was all that and more.
I can't begin to thank all of you who participated enough! When the staff started to assemble a list of the names of everyone who contributed, large or small, to this event it became very clear there would not be enough room in this newsletter to do the job. So many thanks go to so very many people.
As mentioned before, special thanks go to the Event Chairs, the Decorations Committee, the Silent Auction Event Committee; the Media Committee, the Thank You Committee, and the Hospitality Committee. The Website was updated by volunteer, Howard Wolf. Thank you! Thank you!
Applause goes to those in the background soliciting donations for the Silent and Live Auctions, to those assisting in the office, to those working to "schlep" auction items from the office and other locations to the Sheraton the day of the event. More applause goes to those who worked quickly and efficiently to set up the auction tables, decorate the area, decorate the tables, and copy endless pages of auction items.
Even more applause goes to those who worked tirelessly to attend to the auction tables, add up charges, collect money, distribute the items, and stay late to clean up the area.
Whew! It certainly takes an enormous number of people to make an event like this such a resounding success and all of you deserve and get my undying gratitude! Thank you, also, to the many volunteers who kept things running smoothly at the Bridgeway house and office while we were so caught up in preparing for this event.
Again, if this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, we always welcome new volunteers and returning volunteers who now find time available to help us make Bridgeway a warm, inviting, home and extended family to many young women and their children.
