What happens after a fundraiser? Some might think that Bridgeway might "take a little time off" from fundraising after a successful event. But that's not possible!
Even as the decorations are being put away, the last thank you note is being sent, the last check is being deposited and the last new donor is being added to the database, a kaleidoscope of fundraising activities is on-going.
Grants are being written, community speaking engagements are being scheduled, Federal, State and City payroll deduction campaigns are gearing up, and new volunteer outreach is being pursued.
It's all part of our commitment to the young women and babies who need Bridgeway. And each day brings new phone calls from young women in desperate need.
The successful teen parent who started out as homeless, scared and feeling very alone, changed her future when she made the commitment to stay in school and learn how to become self-sufficient. Bridgeway's commitment is to give her the tools for her future.
As Bridgeway looks ahead, we ask you to remember that there is no time off in fundraising. Your support is necessary in providing for each young at-risk teen mother and her baby. Please help us change lives.
