I am so excited! The holidays are fast approaching, Bridgeway’s Mardi Gras 2004 is just around the corner, and I love my job! How could it get better than that?
Already in September and October we have had several individuals and work groups help us with Fall Cleanup and painting at the Bridgeway house. It is wonderful to see so many people give of their time, energy and resources to the young moms and babies of Bridgeway.
Christmas is a HUGE deal at Bridgeway, with inviting all of the former residents, their children, and spouses, as well as the current residents. It is a wonderful celebration with lots of food, gifts, and fun. Jaime is our "Christmas Elf" here in the office so if you would like to assist with that event, please let her know by calling the Bridgeway office number at 303-969-0515.
As I mentioned earlier in this article, the Mardi Gras 2004 is also coming up, with several volunteer opportunities. We have established the committee chairs that we need, and many of you have already volunteered your services. There are still openings! We can always use more individuals to assist with Silent Auction Donation Requests, as well as assistance setting up the silent auction tables and closing out the auction. Something new this year is Bridgeway’s connection to Blacktie-Colorado.com. You may wish to check the on-line link to the Mardi Gras event where reservations are being taken. This event promises to be better than ever, so I hope you will consider being a part of it. Please call the office to offer your expertise in any area.
The next volunteer orientation will be October 25 at 9:00 a.m. in the office. If you are unable to attend this orientation, there are many volunteer opportunities available in which you may become involved, so I would love to hear from you.
