There's a new way to help Bridgeway raise money and have fun doing it! Our first Mardi Gras Gala will be held on Fat Tuesday, February 27, 2001. For those who like a good party, Mardi Gras has always been a connotation for fun: beads, parades, costumes, Cajun food treats, thousands of people in the streets, and wonderful jazz music. Bridgeway's first attempt at a Mardi Gras-type event will be tame by comparison to the New Orleans' original, but we do expect that everyone coming will have a great time. We will start the evening with a jazz combo and a wonderful silent auction while guests munch hor's d'ouevres and bid on weekend getaways, beautiful jewelry, hot air balloon rides, award-winning photography and lots of other items. Dinner promises to be a real taste treat of New Orleans favorites. The king cakes are being flown in from Randazzo's Bakery in New Orleans especially for this event! During dinner, Positively Humor will entertain us, and after dinner the big band sounds of the Joe Peterson Orchestra will provide us with music for dancing.
